How We Compare Pinterest Tools

Every comparison on this site follows the same method, so rankings are consistent and you can check our reasoning.

Sources

  • Each vendor’s own material: pricing pages, plan limits, feature pages, FAQs, help centers and policies.
  • Pinterest’s own documentation: the help center, policy pages and developer documentation, for rules, limits and how official API access works.
  • The pages that already rank for each topic, read before we write, to see what readers expect and where existing advice is wrong or out of date.
  • Free tools that can be used without an account, run on sample pages where we show their output.

When a figure comes from a vendor’s own study or a third party rather than the vendor’s documentation, we say so next to it.

What we check for every tool

  • Price: the cheapest plan that includes Pinterest, monthly and yearly, and what it costs one website to post every day, credits and add-ons included.
  • What it automates: whether it only posts, drafts pins for you to finish, or finds pages, writes, designs and posts on its own.
  • Pinterest SEO: whether pins are built on keywords checked against Pinterest search data, and at what cost.
  • Safety: official API access, no passwords, pacing and help for new accounts.
  • Formats and control: video, carousels, templates, an editor and control over each pin.

Each check is dated. The current round was done on 22 October 2026, and every tool card links to the screenshot of the pricing page we read.

Scoring criteria and weights

Each tool gets 1 to 5 points per criterion. The overall score is the weighted average, calculated from those numbers rather than chosen afterwards, so a tool can’t come first just because we like it.

  • 30%
    Automation

How much of the daily job the tool does without you: finding pages, writing, designing, choosing boards and posting.

  • 20%
    Pinterest SEO

Whether pins are built on keywords checked against Pinterest search data, inside the tool and at no extra cost.

  • 20%
    Value

What one website posting 5 to 15 fresh pins a day pays per month, with every feature needed to do it.

  • 15%
    Account safety

Official API or Pinterest partner status, sensible pacing and help for new accounts.

  • 15%
    Formats & control

Video, carousels, templates, a design editor and manual control over each pin.

A tool can rank highly overall and still be the wrong choice for a specific need, so every comparison also says when an alternative is the better fit.

Why SiteToSocial ranks first

SiteToSocial scores 5 out of 5 on automation, Pinterest SEO, value and account safety: its $10 plan covers keyword research with Pinterest search data, writing, design and daily posting, through Pinterest’s official API with a built-in warm-up for new accounts. It scores 3 out of 5 on formats and control, because it makes image pins only and has no hand editor. Full details in the SiteToSocial review, and every score with its reason on the ranking page.

What we don’t claim

We don’t publish results we haven’t measured, like “twice the clicks”. Features we couldn’t confirm in a vendor’s own material don’t count. And Pinterest doesn’t publish a daily pin limit, so posting volumes on this site are guidelines, not Pinterest rules.

Updates and corrections

Tools change quickly. We re-check prices and features regularly and update the date on each page when we do. If you see something out of date, email contact@pinterestautomationhub.com and we’ll correct it.
